Vote-by-Mail

The Centre County Board of Elections encourages voters to apply and return their vote-by-mail ballots as soon as possible.

In order to request either ballot type, you must be registered to vote. Please visit Check Your Registration Status to review your registration information. 

Vote-by-mail ballots cannot be mail forwarded.

If you are registered in another county, you must request your application from that county. To check what county you are registered in, click here.

In emergency situations (such as an unexpected illness or disability and last-minute absence) following the deadline at 5 p.m. on the Tuesday before the election, you can request an Emergency Absentee Ballot.  Click here to find out more Emergency Absentee Ballots.

Request a Mail-In Ballot

You can request an absentee ballot for yourself, or have a family member request an absentee ballot for you by filling out an application online. Or you can fill out a form, download the application, sign, date, and mail to:

Complete and Return your Ballot

We’ll send you a mail-in or absentee ballot with a return envelope. Please closely review and follow the instructions included with the ballot. (A copy of the instructions for the Election will be uploaded here when ready.)
